Meet Dr. John Carpenter

John F. Carpenter, D.M.D., M.A.G.D., DICOI has been caring for patients in New Windsor for more than three decades and considers knowledge essential to dental treatment.  Dr. Carpenter takes the time to diagnose and discuss options with his patients.  As a part-time Attending at Westchester Medical Center, he assists the Dental Residents in planning and executing all phases of dentistry. “My staff and I are proud to be able to deliver the most up-to-date, evidence based and patient-centered services in a caring, kind and warm environment.” A frequent lecturer at various continuing education meetings, Dr. Carpenter has published articles on advanced treatment techniques and procedures.  Special interests include dental implants, complex restorations, cosmetic dentistry and sedation dentistry.  He has been awarded Diplomat status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology and Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Carpenter is part of an elite group of dentists that performs both the cosmetic and surgical parts of implant dentistry, which comprises less than 5% of Implantologists in the US. With his extensive educational and training background, Dr. Carpenter offers patients General, Cosmetic, Restorative and Surgical procedure options.

Education and Training

Dr. Carpenter received his Bachelors and Masters in Chemistry from Boston College.  His Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD) was received from Tufts University.  Throughout his career, he has traveled extensively to train with world-renowned dentists.  Dr. Carpenter has specialized training and licensure in sedation dentistry.
