Meet Dr. Michael Teitelbaum

President of the GNYACD, Dr. Michael Teitelbaum uses his advanced training to help restore peoples' smiles and transform their lives. Dr. Teitelbaum provides patients of all ages with general and cosmetic dentistry at his private practice Briarcliff DentistSpa in New York. Before following in his father's footsteps to become a dentist with his own private practice, Dr. Teitelbaum taught at NYU College of Dentistry as an assistant clinical professor in prosthodontics for 8 years. Now, with decades of experience in dentistry and prosthodontics, he is highly regarded within the dental community. He continues to teach as an Associate Professor at NYU, works as an associate attending dentist at Phelps Memorial Hospital, lectures at many national dental conventions and societies, and has authored many publications about prosthodontics and more. With his lengthy career in academia and drive for continuing education in state-of-the-art technology and dental techniques, Dr. Teitelbaum gladly shares his expertise with fellow colleagues and dental professionals, as well as restoring his patients' smiles with ease.

At his private practice, Briarcliff DentistSpa, Dr. Teitelbaum is proud to offer a variety of family dentistry services, including cosmetic dentistry, smile design, restorations, child and infant dental care, orthodontics, and TMJ disorder treatment. Dr. Teitelbaum excels in helping patients using ultra-conservative dental techniques to accomplish as much as possible with as little treatment as needed. From porcelain crowns, bridges, and dental implants, to teeth whitening and veneers, his treatments not only restore the mouth back to a health, but to a natural appearance as well for his patients in Westchester, Briarcliff Manor, and New York City, NY.

Education & Training

Dr. Teitelbaum graduated in two years with an undergraduate degree in biology from the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Then, as one of the youngest dental students in the country at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Teitelbaum earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. He elected to have an extensive post-doctorate education and held a general practice residency for a year at NYU's Lutheran Medical Center before then completed a two-year residency in prosthodontics. He was also on staff at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Dr. Teitelbaum remained in academia at NYU for eight years as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Prosthodontics before starting his own practice.
